Judy: [Voice from below] What is it Mr Punch can’t you see I’m busy.
[Up pops Judy carrying a big wooden spoon. Mr Punch is facing the other way so Judy comes up behind him and wacks him on the head.]

Punch: Judy! Ouch! Oh there you are Judy.

Judy: Can’t you see I’m busy in the kitchen Mr Punch. What do you want?
[She swings her spoon at Punch who adroitly avoids it.]

Punch: I thought you would like to say hello to all these lovely people.
[She stops chasing Punch around the stage and looks at the audience and bows.]

Judy: Oh hello everybody. My name is Judy. I’m very pleased to meet you. I have been downstairs making supper and looking after our little baby.
[Baby cries] Oh listen to that. [Baby cries] Look Mr Punch now you’ve gone and woken the baby.
[Hits Punch on the head and disappears below leaving Punch rubbing his head. She quickly returns holding the baby with which she hits Punch once again.]
