Did Michaelangelo make puppets then? They'd be Pulcinella rather than Punch I presume. If anyone has photos I'd love them for the website.

Although I am told his puppets were very heavy. Should have used papier mache.
It has been my experience that I am always true from my point of view, and am often wrong from the point of view of my honest critics. I know that we are both right from our respective points of view. - Gandhi (Having a bob each way.)

Now Chris (CvdC) I find it interesting that in England you can show male-frontal nudity even as a puppet but not read the word tcp (med i cine).

In America (U.S.A.) we have commercials for the most personal of conditions but can't show nudity of any kind (except, thank heavens, on B.B.C. America, my favorite station.)

We are very different in that regard, I guess the Puritans left there and came to stay here! You could have them back if you like, in Australia or Britain! Please!

There are a few misconceptions here:
1 Chris (CvdC) is not in England - he is in Australia.
2 There are no words that we can't show. It s just that I personally do not wish to accept spam advertising on my website therefore I substitute tcp for the names of products or for common advertising phrases. It is nothing to do with decency or censorship, it is simply aimed to make useless any rogue adverts that do get through. Also if their messages are turned into gibberish it does deter the offenders from repeatedly trying to beat my defensive measures.
But I stress there is no restriction in England on advertising any personal products. It is just me Charles - I want this site for Punch & Judy and don't want it cluttered with advertising for used cars or cheap drugs or anything else.

Chris, That's very useful to know. And thank you for clearing up my misconception regarding advertising in Great Britain. I am impressed with how well you administer the Punch Booth. I'm sure it takes many hours and dedication on your part. We all benefit by your efforts.

I knew Chris CvdC was Australian and visiting England this summer from his various messages. I must learn to be more careful in my wording.

Wow, four hands? Think of the shows you could put on. I wonder how big his booth was.
