I looked out of the window this morning and thought it was November.
Now I'm reminded that the summer season is all but over.
The deckchairs are being put back into storage for another year.
Many of the early season bookings were lost due to flooded grounds, the last few lost due to foot & mouth.
I'm glad I live in London - where it just takes an hour to get to the top of the road in your car! And when you're working outside it's only the gangs of hooded teenagers on bikes throwing their water bombs at the show to put up with.
Toby's been quarantined after being bitten while visiting a local housing estate. My car has a severe dent in it after parking under a tower block when someone threw a mattress out of the window.
I also remember the time when walking up Nelson Mandella Way between shows when I spotted someone's false leg lying in the road.
Still, that's showbiz, and I'm still wearing the sparkly jacket!
