Swindon by the Sea

Postby Professor Eek » 19 Aug 2007, 11:00

Just back from three lovely days in Swindon where the town centre had a 'by-the-sea' event.

All went well but I had to report that the teenagers of Swindon are really nice!

I couldn't believe how lovely they all were - very polite, interested in the show, good fun

Not a single bad comment from them, not one instance of swearing at me, throwing stuff at the booth, no 'attitude' - just nice kids

What is the country coming too when teenagers start behaving like this?

My cynicism of 'yoof' was slightly erased byt their pleasant behaviour.

Threw me completely as I'd gone along thinking "Town centre gig - prepare for the worst" but whatever the put in the water in Wiltshire seems to work for them.

And well done to the council as well in preparing for global warming although it may take a few more years before the English Channel reaches Swindon.

Nice write up too ...
