Venice

Off to sunny (?) Venice in January (rugby not Mr Punch) and was looking into the place and I found this website

http://www.delpiano.com/carnival/html/puppets.html

It struck me that it looks like a Punch fit-up and one of the puppets in the image seems to have a (slap?)stick

I know the Commedia Del Arte connection with Punch but thought the show had come over in marrionette form so was surprised to see this image.

Pulcinella

Eek, you really should check out some of the Italian Pulcinella glove puppeteers. There's some pretty cool vids available such as Pulcinella e il Cane by Salvatore Gatto

The sense of humour would appeal to you.

Cheers Trev

Pulcinella, always on the right hand of the puppet master ...

There's another reference to the right handed thing ...

It has been my experience that I am always true from my point of view, and am often wrong from the point of view of my honest critics. I know that we are both right from our respective points of view. - Gandhi (Having a bob each way.)
