Yesterday I received this picture from Geoffrey Farrar. He said that it showed a Teddy Bear, one of a pair, made for him by my late partner Eric Bramall in the early 1950's.
Today I had a message from Geoffrey's grandaughter, Lizzie, that he had died. She says that she shared the last two days of his life photographing his puppets with him.

He wrote quite frequently on this board and will be missed.

Geoffrey came to our first Hudersfield event and I had the pleasure of visiting him on a couple of occassions and chatting about Punch and puppets. He had great enthusiasm for both.

The way these things always happen I had only very recently contacted him saying that I would pop over in the near future.

A very nice guy. Yes, a gentleman.
As if I haven't got enough to do today, with all I've got to do today.

Similarly, I never met him, and now will have to wait much longer to do so, We had a sort of rapport somehow, partly because of my father. I had hoped to meet up. A gentle man indeed, sadly missed. Farewell, geoffrey.
