Sad to hear that Ken Campbell died yesterday aged 66. He produced (along with Glyn Edwards and Martin Bridle) possibly the funniest Punch show I've been fortunate to see. Whilst some would find the show purile the idea of Judy having to have IVF with a turkey baster in order to have a baby was inspired, especially when she ended up with quads, one of which resembled Linda Blair's character in The Exorcist complete with spinning head and projectile vomit!

He was an acclaimed writer, director, performer and all round eccentric. I remember him lecturing at college a few years when he spoke for the best part of three hours without a break or a single note.

He also wrote and performed a one man show at the National about Ventriloquists.
