At £2, the hardback book looked a bargain, but it was the picture of a Punch booth at a 'bazaar' that made it appeal more. I didn't recognise the name 'Prof Langley, Children's Entertainer of Workington," on the proscenium, so Googled him. and found a small piece in Cumbria Life magazine, with photo, which explains how he, (Jimmy Langley,) got into it, and how he was taught 'over the phone' by Bob Wade. It seems he is now retired form Punch and magic except for family events.
