Making the gloves

Postby Cood123 » 28 Nov 2012, 07:19

Does anyone have a pattern, or know where to get one for the glove of the puppet? And roughly how much fabric does it take to make them?

It is always a good idea before asking a question to see if it has already been answered either on this Board, or under "Frequently Asked Questions" or on "Punchman's Tips" on the main website. Actually if you look on this message board, in this area (Punch Workshop) you will find a topic "Glove Design" - same question as yours, a few months ago. There are several suggestions, but I also remember that I uploaded a scan of a glove pattern. That should give you the information you need.

Also on the main website on the menu for Punchman's tips there is Chris vdC's details and drawings of his method of costume making. http://www.punchandjudy.com/cvdccostume/index.html
This will give you a wealth of information.

For other ideas and patterns I suggest that you look on almost any book on puppet making.
