Just been tidying up my computer of saved web images, and looked again at the pic below. It is a fairly recent picture of Ron Codman, (from The Guardian, was it on here before?) ..and shows his 'lively' figures.

This time, Judy first caught my eye, and it was her mouth that made her appear 'animated', then I noticed that the Beadle also had a great mouth, and the clown a nice cheesy grin, the mouth on Punch is less distinct.

I realised that when I am making puppet heads, not that I finish many, I often don't pay enough attention to the mouth, and tend to concentrate on face shape, jaw line nose style and eye position, etc, and tend to just 'leave a space' for the mouth and sort it out at the end. Must focus more on the mouth in future.
As if I haven't got enough to do today, with all I've got to do today.

Very nice picture, although it is a pity it has been so heavily Photoshopped. That Beadle, which I've seen before, truly is magnificent isn't it? A wonderful head and superb costume.
It's good to squawk!
