Back in the Workshop

Postby Richard Coombs » 17 Sep 2019, 12:44

Summer season at Heights of Abraham is over for another year.

Like others out there , that means I am back in the workshop.
Historically with Summer being so busy , posts on here have tended to fall off during end of July and August.

But its a shame to see that this year , like last year , they have not picked up again afterwards.
It saddens me that a Board once so busy , is now so quiet.

I do have new albums on my Flickr showing the building of things that I put in this years Mayfayre show : the Undertakers , The Hangman , gallows and prison and the Judge.

Currently I am working on a new crocodile: ... 0860172567

Also a new Clown Joey: ... 0880732778

I will keep adding pics of these last two as they progress.

If you are currently making or fefurbishing puppets , or booths, please pop some pics on here .
I know I am not the only maker who loves seeing what other folk are up to.

Happy Autumn Chaps !
All the Best

I love Liquorice Allsorts but have never thought of stitching them on my trousers. What a splendid idea.
I also spotted rolls of vinyl with the same design. Meant to get some to cover a magic box. Of course by the time I went for it it was no longer in stock. Thare's a wonderful fabric remnant outlet near me - AbaKhans - brilliant for fabrics of every size and quantity - but you have to buy stuff when you see it otherwise it may never come in again. One time I found some lovely Harlequin fabric. Brillliant. Eric and I bought yards and yards of the bloody stuff, only to find the same design was being used for chef's and kp's trousers in the catering industry.
