Thanks for Posting Harvey - as it gives 'Nosey-Parkers' like me me a chance to have a look at all the different angled photos.

I am guessing this is John Stoats caravan that he mentioned on here a while back ? ( on the grounds that there cannot be too many vehicles like this around )

It must have been Wonderful to see it in its heyday .

Looking at the photos though I can see why the current owner is keen to ebay it .

When something is in that state of disrepair , it is actually quicker to start from scratch than to renovate.

- More costly it is true - but only by a relatively small margin , if you factor in all the many, many , many hours of making good that need doing to the Caravan as it stands .

A great shame ..as I said in its heyday that must have been a spectacular thing indeed.

Regards to all !
Richard

I don't know that it can have had much of a heyday Richard. It's only 8 years old, and several of those it has spent parked up and rotting. It is the one John Stoate described on this board.
This plate reads: Designed and build by J.Jaques, Puppeteer of Bacup, E. Lancs, Winter of 2004-5.

It seems a tragedy that having put all that effort into its creation John apparently got so little use from it. A great shame for it obviously represents many, many hours of work.

A shame indeed.

Didn't John have a load of his stuff stolen some time ago? Did he ever get it back, or replace it?

Hello Trevek ...yes he did.
And he doesnt seem to Post much anymore...I wonder if the trauma of having his puppets stolen has actually made him give it all up ?

--Hello John- if you are reading ( its rotten being talked about 'as if you were not there' ..sorry 'bout that )

Say "Hello" to let us all know you are alive and well.

The Caravan is an amazing Build Project ...you must have spent a LOT of time and effort constructing it all.
Bloomin' well done !

I hope somebody rescues it from its current owner and does it justice in the restoration.

Richard

It's a funny thing but... This IS my caravan rig. I've just been contacted by the lady who is hoping to restore it having bought it from the chap advertising it on Ebay - I'm particularly interested in hearing WHO he paid for it, since I have never sold it!! - As for the amount of restoration required- I can assure you that it looks far worse than it is, As the man said 'Still 99% waterproof' - And in that pic' He has the table in the wrong position! :) Oh, and PS. Although now semi-retired due to dodgy health I'm still very much alive! .... Sorry to disappoint!
