Punch Creamer - what's it worth?

Postby joluca6 » 23 Aug 2016, 17:55

I picked this up at an estate sale recently. I wonder if it's worth anything...even with the chip(s).

:?: :?:

Grimwades, a Stoke pottery springing from earlier Grimwade Brothers. This form of identifying mark dates to around 1930. Company finished in early 1960s
I'm sure this will appeal to collectors of stoneware as well as to collectors of Punch ephemera. It would probably best to attempt to sell it on Ebay where it would be seen by both classes of enthusiasts.
I don't know what price you can expect. From a Punch and Judy point of view I would happily pay £10 but I imagine that on a good day you might get double that if someone "really" wanted it. How such a figure would compare with a pottery collector's price I don't know. All you can do is watch Ebay and see what similar items are selling for.
I don't think the chip will materially reduce the value.
It's good to squawk!
