Things Kids Say

The Crocodile swallows Punch's slapstick and Mr. Punch says "Where's my stick?" whereupon the Croc gives a mighty burp. Time it right and this is a surefire laugh, especially from adults. Today, on hearing the burp a boy loudly asked: "Where did that come from? It must be my Nan!"

After the show a youngster asked me why I went inside the booth. I explained that I helped the puppets, that they couldn't work by themselves. "Do they have batteries?" he asked.

I was all ready to perform, but we were still waiting for everyone to arrive. The Mum was trying to count the children who were running everywhere battering each other with balloons. She kept getting a different number. "I think they are all here" she said "Perhaps you could start". "They're not all here" contradicted the 5 year old birthday boy". "Who is missing?" asked Mum. "I don't know. But I've counted the presents and there are only twelve!"
