mmmmm... I seem to recall gettin a little grief at one point in a similar vein. - the cliche that comes to mind is rather more that ' Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery' - but what it has to do with Irish dancing is beyond me! It is an interesting question though, - If one sees a particular 'bit o' biz' and can use it, (Or perchance, improve on it) does it denigrate the original?? CVDC's 'Commandments' are rather fun in other ways too, - Should we really revere ' The merry morning in May' ( I know, - not related

) and chatter on about the'Commedie' as though it still has bearing on today's show? - As for' stealin' the bottle' - in My experience, most bottle collections today, ( Mine excepted, of course!!) aren't worth stealing. - Nobody seems to push the bottle issue as they should

- And as fer papier mache, If it weren't fer it's speed and durability, I fer one, couldn't introduce new characters, ( Like me 'Safety ossifer' - ten years or so ago!) quickly enough to be topical. And as fer Piccini, - I never met the chap, or saw his show, Percy Press, I certainly never never met, (sadly) but I have seen his show on film, and love his motorbike rig,- It appeals to my sense of practicality with regard to 'Quick-up' showbooths. As fer 'vicious rumours' - I know all about those- But Human nature is all about enjoying other's misfortune, which is perhaps, why Punch endures....
