Skipton 2015

Postby Chris » 06 Oct 2015, 18:13

I treated myself to a busman's holiday in Skipton where each alternate year they hold an International Puppet Festival. This year in was the first weekend of October, a weekend when, unusually, I had no bookings. I decided to head North, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. There was a lot of very interesting puppetry, and lots of puppeteer friends to chat with. Among the dozens of shows was Martin Bridle's wonderful Punch show - Martin also performed two other shows, both glove shows and both with a Punch & Judy flavour. There was also a wonderful Don Roberto show from Portugal - a wonderful cousin of Mr. Punch. When I find my notes I plan to add a bit more information.

I don't remember Skipton being so sandy!

Glad you enjoyed the shows, Martin and José are both great performers.
