.....and RELAX !

Postby Richard Coombs » 15 May 2018, 16:46

Yes a little bit of rest and relax time is finally here.

Like so many others I am somewhat drained and exhausted from Sundays Mayfayre.
Even if you live in London , the horribly early start to secure one of the very few free parking spaces makes the day long at both ends.

If like me you have several hours of travel on top of that , then it really is a hard slog of a day.
Thankfully the fun outweighs the effort , and the added joy of catching up with old friends makes it all worthwhile.

This is sounding like it should be on the regular "Chat" side of the forum .
However it is here on the 'Workshop" side because the Mayfayre marks the end of a long period of being in my own Workshop ' nose to the grindstone' .

The new 'Golden Booth' was finally complete and on public view ! ( well not 100% finished , but certainly finished enough to use)
The full journey of that build is on my Flickr:

But there were some new puppets having their debut at Covent Garden too.

I like to get anything that is going to be new for my summer Season up at the Heights of Abraham completed in early May to try them out at the Mayfayre.

The combo of getting both the new booth AND new puppets ready for May 13th really has wiped me out.
But at least I get to take things easier now till Heights season starts.

I did not post any pics on Flickr of the new puppets before the Mayfayre to keep a couple in particular secret until the day.

But here they are in their own galleries. No descriptions with the photos as yet , but that will follow in a few days.

Richard's booth at the May Fayre was quite astonishing and garnered a lot of comment. His show also, was as usual, full of novelty and wit and surprises and was received with well deserved enthusiasm.

Yes Richard, you deserve a little relaxation.
It's good to squawk!
