I'm a fan of that Adastra vehicle PA amp, especially with its small size, and the modest cost means that one can carry a spare, and simply swap it if there is a problem.
But WATCH OUT for this WEAKSPOT....
It is designed to be used in a vehicle, and to enable easy installation all the wires pull out the back on a 'fitting', I suppose so it can be passed through a bulkhead and then re-connected in a confined space.
In normal use the unit would then just sit there, but as we use it, regularly getting it out and then packing it away puts a strain on the wiring which eventually frays and breaks. I've had to re-solder both mine, and recently one showed signs of fraying again.
I've re-soldered it again, and in the off-season I may look at removing this connecting 'fitting' and rewiring it 'straight through.'
As if I haven't got enough to do today, with all I've got to do today.
