My Experience
David started performing Punch as a young child; he was taken under various performers' wings such as Bryan Clarke, John Styles and Percy Press Jnr. With the latter he regularly worked a busking pitch in London's Covent Garden as well as being invited to perform at various international UNIMA festivals. This set him up perfectly for working a seaside pitch with Peter Battey in Clacton on Sea, and his Crystal Palace Park performances, which he continues today when not undertaking paid work.

Schools Programmes
Two options are available: either purely for entertainment, at Christmas and the like with Magic, Punch and Judy and all manner of surprises; or a more educational presentation, showing the Punch and Judy show, linking it with topics of the Victorians, the Edwardians, puppet making for design technology and the seaside. Before the show the children are given a brief history of Punch, and after they can see inside the booth, and have a look at various puppets: Victorian veterans, 1950s childrenís' toys, and beautiful, hand crafted modern figures. David has been performing in schools for many years, so is well equipped for even the trickiest of questions about Mr Punch!

Punch and Judy...A Speciality
David is acknowledged as one of Britainís leading and most knowledgeable Punch and Judy Men. He was made Britainís Most Promising Young Professor aged 16 in Covent Garden, by the Punch and Judy College of Professors, and is now a member of this esteemed group of performers. His collection of puppets is second to none, including rare examples from stage and screen, including items from Are You Being Served, Tony Hancock's puppets from the cult film The Punch and Judy Man, and the late Peter Brough's famous ventriloquist dummy, Archie Andrews, the star of the 1950's radio serial Educating Archie, co starring Hattie Jacques, Bruce Forsyth, Tony Hancock and Julie Andrews...not bad for a block of wood!

His puppets have been loaned to various institutions and individuals for research and displays.

Punch and Judy, balloon modelling and magic for all manner of events, private and corporate, whether the audience is 20 children on a village green or high powered executives David will be ready.
